Blog Session 4- My future job      

Hello everyone!

"Job" is a word that all of us almost always bear in mind (or need to?) why?... it is not necessary to take a long time to answer that simple question: we need to work for a living! and we will probably apply for a job that will offer good working conditions and a good salary but...a big "but" ...what about if you get a job that you do not enjoy or you do not like doing?

First, I think there is a difference between the word "job" and "career". Essentially, a job means time and money, a career is a concept that involves you and what you expect to be doing throughout  your working life! That is why this period of preparation is so important for you and it has been for all of us.

Second, in my opinion it is not an easy task to think about a  future job but it is a good opportunity to reflect and dream a little bit.

Now, reflect  about your future job and say:

What the job is,

Why you would like to do this job,,

What qualities or skills you would need to do this job,

What type of reward or job satisfaction you would get from doing this job.

Mention anything else you think is important.

Dear all,

Today's session is a free themed post and you already chose to write about music/ the best album you´ve ever heard.


If you ask me about music I would surely answer it is one of the most significant part of our lives as human beings. How could we live without the sound of music?

Music is absolutely necessary for our souls, it is connected directly with our emotions.
I deeply admire all the musicians, composers , and artists. I think they have been gifted with a lot of talent and, additionally they have been an important contribution to the history of mankind.

According to my music background, let me tell you that during the decade I was born there was a huge and vast creation of music,especially  rock, funk, pop , etc and many solists and amasing bands that till today are on the radios, videos, musicals, etc . I can not say that I have got on favourite band or artist because I have got a lot!! My rock favourites were; Pink Floyd, ELO, Deep Purple, Rare Earth, Tears for Fears, Santana....and so on. I also like and enjoy dancing tropical dances and of course, I may not leave aside our chilean music, not only folk but the different and varied music styles we have got today.

Blog session 3

Themed Post

Hi everyone,

Today was a special session because you were in charge of choosing a topic to write about. The topic was elected by "ballot"!

This is about about your "favourite movie or series" , "the best movie/series you´ve ever seen".

First , I would like to say that I am not a big fan of movies, but it does not mean that I have not visited cinemas. I have enjoyed a lot seeing interesting and funny films, especially with my children, during different times in my life and theirs, when they were kids and now that  they are grown-ups. We enjoy staying together and having fun watching good and great films. They all love films.

Films are like a piece of fantasy mixed with real life, there are a lot of different types of films, action, science fiction, drama, comedy, horror, documentaries, cartoons, etc but I prefer comedies, history or films based on real facts. I have seen many amazing movies but just two of them are my favourites: "Cinema Paradiso" (Italian)and "Les Chorists" (French). The first one is an Oscar winner. It is simply an enigmatic film which will stay in your memory for a long time...It is about a filmmaker who recalls his childhood, when he fell in love with the movies at his village' s theater and formed a deep friendship with the theater's projectionist. The second one is about a failed music teacher (Mr. Mathieu) who comes to a strict boy`s boarding school where a tough headmaster rules over a deprived youth with a motto of "Action- Reaction". Mr Mathieu tries a different approach, introducing music into their lives, forming a boys' choir that allows him to discover the secret musical talent of a quiet but troubled young boy.


These films are so charming, funny, touching, poignant and thought- provoking but mainly real and human.

They are those kind of films that you will always remember.
